To celebrate ogr -150th anniversary the Cricket Committee are publishing a book called 'Golden Moments' about the history of the club, subtitled 'record of achiwements 1846 - 1996, the book details the outstmding performances of both teems and individuals of the past as well as including special features such as : Lindon Dervhurst's best ever Accrington team Stars of tlre future Memorable Matches Profiles of 50 outstanding amateurs Jrurior succsss On the lighter side The book will also include the best action photographs of Accrington players. The cost of the book will be approximately f,8. 2. 150th Anniversarv Celebrations A committeeheadedby John Swanney is currently organising evsnts for the coming year. Anyone interested in frefping please contact fonn-1:eSSOtl 3. Cricket The indoor nets at Mount Carmel are going well. As many urs 30 juniors are currently attending the Friday night sessions, many of whom are undff 9 years old. ke season friendlies against Horwich and N1ark Greenhalgh's Leek team have been aranged. In the Worslsy Cup the lst,{I have a home fixture against Colne on Sunday May l2th. 4. Repairs and lvlaintenance All the buildings are in need of repair and general rnaintenance. Assistance is desperately needed in this departrnent. Sponsored Walk The 1995 total currently stands at f,608.93. Money is still outstanding from Steven Birtrvistle Duncan McCormack and David Stubbs. 7.
