During the summer, Nathan will live on Burnley Road. Details of his career can be found on the Notice Board in the Clubhouse. .Annryan-s & DEPARTURES Lionel Cooke has joined the Club from East Lancs as lst Team scorer. Gareth Lang will continue as 2nd Team Scorer. Suzanne Geldard has taken on the role of Match Armouncer and Graham Beech has been appointed First Team Manager. Players joining us this season are Joe Stewart from Baxen- den, a 17 year old off spin bowler and middle order batsman w-ho took 5 wickets on his 2nd team detut last Sunday. Seam bowlers Anwar Ali Kha4Zabr Afzal (both from Enfield) & Adnan Hanif (Colne) join our other addition from Enfield, Saeed Ullah a right hand opening batsman. Returning to the Club this season are Mark Demaine, Bill Rawstron and Simon Bray togelher withournew 3rd Team Captain David Kennedv. Tofeeq Khan has left the Club for Enfield. Michael Wilson & Paul Schofield are not playing this season. Russell Edmonds (Broken Arm) & tuchard Burrows (Broken Thumb) are currentl_v sidelined by injury RESULTS & PERFORMANCES The First Team defeated Enfleld in a pre-season friendly last Saturday. Professional Nathan Asile scored his maiden hall cen- tury in our opening day de- feat at Ramsbottom last Sunday. The 2nd team also lost their first match on lhe same day. DesBite losing their first three matches, the 3rd Xl have provided some promising individual perfor- mances. Adam Greenwood scored 75 against Colne and Simon Brankin made 79 at Enfield last Saturday. The A Team (our other 3rd team) begin their campaign against Taverners B next Saturday on Highams. The Club is not running a 4th team this season. JUNIORCRICKET This season the Club is running an Under 18's for the first time in over 10 years. Home garnes are on Monday evenings with Rishton on 28th April & Bacup on 19th May being the first two. Bill Rawstron will captain the side. Junior practice has there- fore been moved to Wednesdays when a charge of tl per head will be made for coaching. Ju- nior fixtures will be pub- lished shortly on the Club Notice Board. THE LEGENDS RETURN This afternoon we wel- come some of our senior former players back to the Club to see our new professional in action.
