a RTSULTS AND PERTORMANCES Recent highlights have been Mus Ahmed's 108 at Colne for the 2nds, who also beat En{ield by 10 wickets at Dill Hall Lane Adam Greenwood (58) and Stefan Heius (52) putting on 118 for the 1st wicket .The A Team won the ADCL B Divisiontitle. Mick Donnelly's team collected their fourth trophy in four sea$ons, a feat that not evC,fr Llewellyn's team could match! The skipper has also won the B Division prize for most runs (244), Dave Kennedy's 3rdXI play their final match at home to Ramsbottom next Saturday in what could be the title decider. JUNIOR CRICKET The Under 15's finished with a record of won 4, lost 6. Captain James Hayhurst topped the batting with 189 runs atX.A. James also took 10 wickets. Nasser Hussain was the leading bowler with 12 wickets. He also scored 150 runs at 16.6. MARKBAIL,EY Congratulations to Mark on becoming the seventh player in the club's history to pass 1000 runs in a season. His current total of 1032 puts him in fifth place, 18 runs behind his namesake Jim. MERCHAITDIS{, Duncan Warburton is still taking orders for cricket sweaters in club colours. Junior sizes are f 19 for long sleeved and f,17 for short sleeved. Senior sizes range fram f,24 to f,28 for long and fZA b f25 for short sleeved, New club caps priced at f,4.50 and the new Lancashire League ties, priced at f,5 can also be obtained from Duncan. qRESIDENTS NIGHT This will be held at the club on Saturday 1lth September. The artists will be Randy Blue and Bobby Wyatt. Plenty of surprises are in store for the evening. Tickets are available from the bar prioed at f2.50 each. MAYORAL SIf, A slqE COMPETITION Accrington won the trophy onBank Holiday Monday by defeating The Griffin in the semi final and Attock in the final. Mau Wilson (56) and Mas Ahmed (53) put on 125 to win the match. The team also comprised of Wayne Roberts, Len Dewhurst, Danny Greenwood and Kaz Shazad. PRESENTATION NIGHTS As advertised in the Membership booklet Junior Presentation Night will be on Saturday October 23rdand Senior Presentation Night will be on Saturday November 13th. More details will be announced nearer the time. TAMTLY rUN pAY A big thank you to all who helped last Monday. Winning numbers for the raffle are on display outside the Tea room and on the notice board in the clubhouse. One of the highlights of the day was the Veterans victory over the Juniors in a kwik cricket challenge match. lst XI calls may soon beckon for Roy Mills, Rod Kenyon, Peter Barratt, Russ Cuddihy Elaine Brankin oreven Karen Ormerod. wl4.Rn$r{ HEGG There are still some spaces left to win the bat for Warren Hegg's benefit.
