The Club Cricket Conference Yearbook 2020

CCC Annual Lunch 2019 Once again over 400 guests packed the Nursery Pavilion at Lord’s for an afternoon of fun, entertainment and the opportunity to meet up with old friends, remind ourselves how good we used to be, and, after making new friends, tell them as well! The 2015 Centenary Lunch was graced by the presence of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh; who knew that, only four short years later, another Royal Family member would come our way – in this case the husband of Princess Anne’s daughter Zara, 2003 Rugby World Cup winner Mike Tindall. For the first time we also had a musical interlude provided by saxophonist John Altman who entertained the guests with a medley of some of his more than 4,000 advertising jingles before bowing out with his most famous piece and something which, in these straightened times, could almost become a second national anthem: Always Look on the Bright Side of Life . - 66 - The 42nd Club Cricket Conference Annual Lunch
