Cricket has been played here since the 1820s and there is surely no ground closer to the centre of a capital city. If you have ever struggled to encourage your better half to watch cricket surely the opportunity for them to wander off to Grafton Street or visit the Long Room while you sample the delights of the Pavilion Bar is one to be availed of! This is an exciting season for Trin- ity as the team try to consolidate and improve upon the success of last sea- son. The first XI features a blend of exciting young talent and some more mature performers. Hopefully we will be able to overcome the unique challenges presented by the exam schedules of our students. With luck it will take the beautiful surround- ings to take the edge off defeat for our visitors. I would like to take the opportunity to thank our sponsors who have con- tributed to the running of the club. Their support is vitally important to a college club where the ability to raise revenue through subscriptions is limited. The profit margins from Dutch Gold are also relatively mod- est!
