Dunstall reached 107-6 in their match at Elford thanks mainly to a middle order contribution form J Stephenson of 36 runs, ably assisted by the versatile S Challiner, who went on to take three wickets in the Elford innings including the valuable wicket of A Gray whose fine knock of 44 had been the only resistance to a Dunstall victory. • Reported 19 May: o U13 Division v Ticknall - Ticknall 31 (A Fern 4-8 Chapman 2-1) lost to Dunstall 37-0 (J Stevenson 20 no M Poynter 14 no) by 10 wickets. Dunstall completed a 10-wicket win at home to Ticknall who were bowled out for 31 with Adam Fern taking 4-8. The Dunstall openers (J Stephenson and M Poynter) knocked off the required runs in only eight overs to complete fine inDivisionidual performances, as they had also opened the bowling in the first innings. • Reported 26 May: o U13 Division v Melbourne – Dunstall 117-6 (J Stephenson 35 E Sloane 22 E Chapman 15 no) beat Melbourne 27 (A Fern 4-4 Chapman 2-6) by 90 runs. A third successive victory against visitors Melbourne by 90 runs The home side were able to score freely throughout their innings with Stevenson (35) Sloane (22) and Chapman (15 no) being the main contributors to a total of 117-6. Melbourne were never in a challenging position with Adam Fern (4-4) ripping out the middle order assisted by Eddie Chapman (2-6) and were dismissed for 27 runs. • Reported 26 May: o U15 Division v Uttoxeter/Marchington - Dunstall 100-6 (A Easter 58, T Smalley 3-6) lost to Uttoxeter/Marchington 102-4 (I McKinnon 52* , J Gowerden 16, M Benstead 2-6) by 6 wickets – Scorecard Reproduced. • Reported 2 June: o U15 Division v Abbots Bromley - Abbots Bromley 69-6 (P Morre 18 T Jackson 15 A Easter 3-16) lost to Dunstall 70-2 (T Suggate 29 no M Benstead 13 E Chapman 13no) by 8 wickets. Dunstall entertained Abbots Bromley and restricted the visitors to 69-6 with Andy Easter removing 3 for 16. Dunstall achieved the winning total with T Suggate (29*) batting throughout assisted by Matthew Benstead and E Chapman as they ran out winners by 8 wickets o U13 Division v Rolleston – Dunstall 121-6 (M Benstead 77 M Pointer 15 G Dent 3-24) beat Rolleston 77-7 (T Gregory 30 J Stevenson 2-16) by 44 runs This game was played at Dunstall due to Rolleston’s Breweries Cup commitments. Matthew Benstead hit 15 boundaries in a match winning 77, well supported in mid innings M Pointer (15). The Rolleston reply was severely restricted by Dunstall bowling with Adam Fern (1-3) Benstead (1-3) and Eddie Chapman (0-8) keeping them down to 77-7. • Reported 23 June: o U15 Division v Lullington – Dunstall 105-1 (M Coaster 54, A Easter 29*) beat Lullington 99- 5 (A Goodwin 62, A Easter 2-6) by 6 runs. Another tight finish at Dunstall where the home side compiled 105-1 including an opening partnership of 87 by Andy Easter and M Coaster. Lullington were on track with Andrew Goodwin at the crease but the game changed when he was dismissed in the 19 th over and the task of scoring 12 runs in the final over proved too much and Dunstall won by 6 runs o Under 13 Division - eight-a-side knockout round one, Dunstall lost to Elford.
