24 Sheffield Cricket Lovers’ Society Monday 11th February A Pie & Pea Supper evening with guest Jason Gillespie, Yorkshire CCC Senior coach. After a pleasant meal members had the opportunity to question Jason on his approach as Senior Coach and in particular to hear his views on the playing staff . Peter answered all members’ questions with humour and demonstrated his wide knowledge of the game and passed on some very amusing anecdotes. In answer to a question as to why he was no longer a member of the International panel of Umpires Peter explained that he became tired of the constant travelling and wished to spend more time with his family. A very honest and open character who gave us a very entertaining evening.
