Sheffield Cricket Lovers’ Society Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is a registered charity that delivers community projects across the county. Using the power of sport and cricket in particular, the foundation aims to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of those living in Yorkshire. Every year the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation works with and engages over 60,000 people a year, delivering projects and initiatives that educate, inspire and motivate individuals of all ages and backgrounds. The work of the foundation falls under five themes which are: • Education • Health & Wellbeing • History & Heritage • Participation • Inclusion The foundation develops partnerships with schools, businesses, local authorities and other organisations to deliver a wide range of educational programmes to the community, using Yorkshire Cricket as the hook to engage people. Yorkshire Cricket has a rich history and heritage. A major part of the foundation's work involves safeguarding and promoting this. The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation operates and maintains the fantastic museum at Yorkshire Cricket Ground and also a mobile museum which tours around the County. The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation works in partnership with The Yorkshire County Cricket Club and The Yorkshire Cricket Board to deliver these aims and maximise the opportunities available for everyone to learn, participate and benefit from sport.
