May 5 th 80. Committee Meeting at the Ground Present Messrs Dixon, J.Bell, A.Birch, R.Rudman, the Hon. Treasurer and the Hon. Secretary. The minutes of the last meeting were read and passed. Proposed by W.Dixon for E.J Crompton seconded by the Hon. Sec that Mr.Chas Collier, Linde Avenue, Stockport Road Altrincham be a member of the club. Agreed. Proposed by ?.Dixon, seconded by J.Bell that Robert Cookson be a free member of the club, on condition that he agrees to accompany the first eleven to all matches played on opponents ground. To charge of materials and to record the scores. ?.Dixon instructed to purchase two practice bats at Mitchells at about 10/6 each. The Hon. Sec instructed to get two bats rebladed and to order larger notice board, also to write to Bowdon CC asking what time it would be convenient to commence playing on Bank Holiday May 17 th also to write to Ashton on Mersey CC asking if they could arrange 2 nd Eleven matches. Eleven selected for Northenden Match, May 15 th at Northenden. William J.Towle Chairman May 12.80. Eleven to play at Northenden on Saturday next filled up and R.Daniel elected Captain. Eleven to play on Whit Monday against Bowdon 2 at Bowdon selected and R.Daniel elected Captain. 2 nd Eleven selected to play against Ashton on Mersey 2 nd XI on Saturday May 22 nd . Hon. Secretary instructed to dispose of lost watch in his possession to watch maker who had offered 25/- for it. The captain of last Saturday’s eleven at Urmston reported that several members indulged in a great deal too much talking during play and it was considered reprehensible but no resolution was proposed.
