F.Birtles 3 0 0 23 At the section AGM in October, Rob Matthews reflected on a difficult season for himself as Captain. Poor availability and form bedevilled most of the season resulting in only 3 wins all season in the league, all batting second. The team had had circa 35 players turning out for it over the course of the season as a function of weddings, stag dos, exams, incidents with avocados and work committments. Even when a strong team was put together there were frequent dips in form by batsmen and bowlers that stopped the team winning fixtures. The team had not scored an individual century all season and there was only one incidence of a five wicket haul for a bowler and this level of performance was not strong enough to remain competitive.
