TImperley CC Yearbook 2019

4 the pitch have improved this year but in some cases, there is still room for improvements. This matters, because it will I am sure also contribute to attracting players, especially young players and building our credibility with the league and may even mean that we get more umpiring decisions going in our favour. Club issues I am sure you are all aware this year is also the beginning of significant developments at the Club in general 1. The club is again changing its legal status to become a Community Benefit Society (with charitable status). 2. Project 2018 to define the future of the club is staring to crystalise the development of the club’s facilities over the next ten years. Please can I ask you al to get involved in this project of you think you can help. The more involvement we get from cricket members the more the section will get out of any developments. Summary In summary, Cricket season of 2018 at Timperley may well be remembered as the season we just fell short of winning the CCC Premier League for the first time in our Club’s long history. But my abiding memory of the season is that it was the year that Timperley CC was accepted onto the top table of Cheshire cricket clubs as real contenders for the league title and with players capable of playing at the highest representative levels. If you think of where we stood less than 10 seasons ago this is a phenomenal achievement and one we can all be proud of. Can I again thank everyone for their support. Bob Page Chairman TCC
