124 (vi) The batting side shall be awarded six penalty runs for each over begun after the time allowed. For each of any such overs, the umpire at the bowlers end shall signal six runs to the scorers before the first ball is bowled. These shall be recorded as penalty runs. If the batting side passes its opponents total by either the award of Penalty runs and/or runs scored during the over, they shall be deemed to have won the match at that point’. (vii) Each bowler is allowed a maximum of 8 overs. (viii) The interval shall be of 10 minutes between innings plus 20 minutes for tea. (ix) Late start:- No match shall start after 5.00 p.m. unless played under Rule 5(iii) and the following table indicates the number of overs to be played when the start is delayed up to that time. (xi) If a match remains unfinished the winner will be the side that has scored the fastest in runs per over throughout the innings (provided that at least 20 overs have been bowled at the side batting second), In the event of the side batting first being all out, or declaring their innings closed, before their full quota of overs, the calculation of their average run rate will be on the full quota of overs to which they would have been entitled. If the scoring rate is the same the side losing the lesser number of wickets in the first twenty overs in each innings will be the winner. In the event of no decision being reached the match will be replayed. (xii) In the event of a tie the result will be decided in favour of the club losing the least number of wickets. If both sides have lost the same number of wickets the result will be decided on the higher rate of scoring in the first 20 overs of each innings. In the event of both sides being dismissed in 40 overs or less the overall scoring rate will be the deciding factor. (xiii) Each club will provide its own ball(s) in accordance with the League Rule 3.8. (xiiii) At the instant of delivery a minimum of four fieldsmen (plus the bowler and wicket-keeper) must be within an area bounded by two semi-circles centred on each middle stump (each with a radius of 30 yards) and joined by a parallel line on each side of the pitch. In the event of an infringement, the square-leg umpire shall call “No-Ball.” (xv) Wide Balls – Any ball, not being a No Ball, that passes the striker’s leg stump, irrespective of where that ball pitched, will be called and signalled a wide. It will not be a wide if the ball makes contact with the striker, his person or equipment, or the bat in hand before it passes the line of the stumps, or the ball passes between the striker and the leg stump. 8. The home club shall notify the result of the match by telephone and submit a result sheet in accordance with League Rule 2.7. 9. The Gordon E. Mycroft Memorial Cup will be awarded to the Man of the Match in the Final. 10. Any collection, raffle etc, will be the sole concern of the club staging the match.
