128 Twenty20 Competition for the Mallen Trophy 1. Trophies (i) The club winning the competition will be awarded the JOHN J. MALLEN TROPHY. (ii) The HAROLD POPE TROPHY will be awarded to the Man of the Match in the Final. 2. Organisation (i) Each club may enter one team and the draw for the competition will be made by the Management Committee. (ii) Withdrawal after the draw has been made will be treated as non- fulfilment of fixture for each match so affected and incur immediate elimination from the competition. (iii) Teams will be drawn in Groups and each team will play every other team in its Group once. (iv) In the Group matches two points shall be awarded for a Win, one point for a Tie or No Result, and no points for a Loss. (v) The team winning each Group will go forward to the Semi-Finals which will be knock-out matches. (vi) In the event of two or more clubs tying at the head of a Group the matter will be resolved by taking account of the number of matches which the teams have won and, should this be equal, then the ratio of the average number of runs scored for per wicket to the average number of runs scored against per wicket in the Group matches shall be the determining factor. 3. Eligibility of Players (i) All players must be registered with the club in accordance with League Rule 5.2 (ii) A player with a Premier League club shall not be eligible if he has played the majority of his Saturday cricket in that League during the current season. (iii) No player who has played for a club in the competition is eligible to play for another club in the competition in the same season. 4. Arrangement of Matches (i) Fixtures will be played on Tuesday evenings commencing between 6.15pm and 6.30pm, as arranged by the Management Committee. (ii) Any matches not completed on the arranged date will be declared ‘NO RESULT’. (iii) A cancellation due to adverse playing condition may be made by the home club, only in agreement with the away club. (iv) The semi-finals and the final will be played on the same date at a venue(s) chosen by the Management Committee
