32 (ii) No such cancellation shall be made before 10am on the day on which the match is to be played. Failure by the home club to contact the away club to seek agreement that the game is cancelled due to adverse playing conditions, and the away team arrive at the ground believing the game is to be played, then the sanctions stated at Rule 2.5 (vi) shall apply, although no points shall be deducted from the Divisional total of the home team. (iii) All such cancellations must be agreed by the two clubs and the appointed umpires informed not later than two hours before the time of start. (iv) Unless a match is cancelled under this rule, the visiting team shall be responsible for the payment of the teas provided for it by the home club. (v) If the away team has travelled the appointed umpire(s) shall assess the ground conditions, shall allow play to commence at the request of both captains, unless deemed dangerous, and if the captains disagree, shall decide whether conditions are suitable for play. (vi) Any club failing to fulfil a League engagement may be fined £20.00. and shall have ten points deducted from the total of the team concerned. The game shall be counted as a win, with full bonus points, for their opponents. (vii) The Management Committee shall decide whether the non- offending club is entitled to claim the fine or part thereof. (viii) If in the opinion of the Management Committee undue advantage is taken of this rule by any club, it shall deal with it according to its discretion. 2.6 Method of Scoring (a) A maximum of 20 points to be available to each team in all completed matches divided up as follows: (i) 12 points for a win, 0 points for a defeat. (ii) 10 points for a draw for the side batting first and 2 points for the side batting second. (iii) 6 points to each side when the scores are equal, irrespective of the number of wickets lost. (iv) 1 bonus point to the batting side on reaching each of the following scores: 120 runs [ 140 runs ]; 140 runs [ 160 runs ]; 160 runs [ 180 runs ]; 180 runs [ 200 runs ]. (v) 1 bonus point to the fielding side at the fall of each of the following wickets: 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th. Maximum bonus points shall be awarded to the fielding side when the batting side is all out, irrespective of the number of wickets to have fallen. (vi) The side winning the match shall be awarded full bonus points, irrespective of their innings total, if their opponents’ innings has been closed by either dismissal or declaration. (b) (i) Six points to each side when a match is cancelled, or is not completed due to ground, weather or light conditions, or unforeseen circumstances. (ii) Bonus points will be awarded in a match which is not completed.
