7 The John J. Mallen t20 Trophy – Rules & Playing Conditions 99 (v) In circumstances when the number of overs of the batting team is reduced, the number of Fielding Restriction Overs shall be reduced in accordance with the table below. For the sake of clarity, it should be noted that the table shall apply to both the 1st and 2nd innings of the match. Total No. of Overs No. of ‘Power Play’ Overs for which fielding restrictions shall apply 10-11 2 12-15 3 16-19 4 20 5 8.8 Law 25 – Wide Ball – Judging a Wide (i) Any ball, not being a No Ball, that passes the striker’s leg stump, irrespective of where that ball pitched, will be called and signalled a wide. It will not be a wide if the ball makes contact with the striker, his person or equipment, or the bat in hand before it passes the line of the stumps, or the ball passes between the striker and the leg stump. (ii) The overall winner of the competition will need to consult the rules and regulations regarding Law 25 prior to playing in the Mapperley Sports t20 Challenge Match against the winner of the South Nottinghamshire Cricket League t20 competition and if successful, the Nottinghamshire Premier League Finals Day and beyond. Further information can be found by consulting the ECB ‘Non First Class Rules and Regulations’ and the ECB ‘National Club twenty20 Rules and Playing Conditions’, both available from the ECB website. 8.9 Match Balls (i) Each club will provide its own ball(s) in accordance with League Rule 3.8(i) (‘All Divisions’). (ii) For the final, the match balls shall be provided by the LMC.
