5 Rules & Playing Conditions 41 1.4 League Management Committee (i) The League shall be governed by a LMC consisting of the officers named in Rules 1.3(i) and 1.3(iii) and thirteen representatives from all clubs in the League who shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. One representative of the BDUA appointed by that Association shall serve on this Committee. (ii) Not more than one representative from any one club shall serve on this Committee, with the exception of the officers named in Rules 1.3(i) and 1.3(iii). (iii) Nine members shall form a quorum. (iv) At least four clear days’ notice of such meetings shall be given. (v) Members of this Committee shall not be allowed to vote on questions arising out of matters in which their clubs are concerned. (vi) Travelling expenses of members of this Committee, over and above those expected in the normal course of their duties, shall be paid by the League. (vii) Any member of the LMC failing to attend two consecutive meetings without reasonable cause shall forfeit his seat which shall be filled by the Committee at the next meeting. The member so appointed shall hold office only until the next Annual General Meeting. (viii) The LMC may appoint such sub-committees as they may from time to time consider necessary. (ix) A Vice-Chairman shall be appointed by the LMC from amongst their numbers at the first Committee meeting after the Annual General Meeting. (x) The Chairman, or in his absence the Vice-Chairman, or if both are absent, a deputy appointed by the LMC shall preside at all LMC Meetings and shall have a casting vote. (xi) The LMC will meet, unless otherwise communicated, on each second Tuesday of the month, except in December when no meeting shall take place. 1.5 Annual General Meeting (i) The Annual General Meeting shall be held in November each year. (ii) Nominations of officers and members of the LMC must be received by the League Secretary not later than 42 clear days previous to the date of the Annual General Meeting. If the number of nominations makes it necessary the election of such officers and members shall be by ballot at the Annual General Meeting. (iii) Proposals for alterations to these rules to be considered at the Annual General Meeting must be received by the League Secretary not later than 42
