5 Rules & Playing Conditions 47 2.7 Notification of Results (i) All results must be entered on to the BDCL ECB Play-Cricket Website by the home side within 48 hours of the match and confirmed by the away team within a further 48 hours. Scorecards are to be fully entered with all participating players, including the names of players involved with catches and run outs. Any problems relating to the submission of a result or scorecard should be communicated to the Player Registrar (preferably via email), in the first instance for investigation. (ii) The home team shall also send to the League Statistician, on the ‘BDCL Result Sheet’, full details of each match, NOT including any cancelled matches, with the signatures of the officiating Umpires where applicable. The prescribed form should be sent electronically, or by first class post by the earliest collection following a match. Details on completing the ‘BDCL Result Sheet’ can be found under Rule 8.7. (iii) The home club shall communicate the summary result of the match to the Results Service either by telephone or email by 10.00am the day following the match. For games played on any other day, the home club shall communicate the summary result of the match by 11.00pm on the day of the match. The following details are to be included: a) The teams. b) The division. c) The total score and wickets lost of the team batting first. d) The total score and the wickets lost of the team batting second. e) The details of any player(s) scoring more than 30 runs or taking more than 3 wickets (to include first name and surname). (iv) A fine, not exceeding £20.00, shall be imposed for non-compliance with any part of this rule. 3 Playing Conditions Players and Officials are not permitted to smoke on the field of play whist a match is in progress. 3.1 Laws and Regulations (i) All matches shall be played under MCC Laws except where otherwise stated. MCC experimental laws will be implemented by the league in the same season that they are applicable. (ii) ECB recommendations and directives with respect to young players a) Fast Bowling, b) Wearing of Helmets and c) Fielding, shall be implemented in full.
