Mallen t20 Trophy – Rules & Playing Conditions 83 Further information can be found by consulting the ECB ‘Non First Class Rules and Regulations’ and the ECB ‘National Club twenty20 Rules and Playing Conditions’, both available from the ECB website. 5 Matches (i) All matches shall be played on the appointed date, as arranged and published by the LMC. (ii) A match may be played on an artificial pitch. (iii) A cancellation due to adverse playing conditions may be made by the home club ONLY WITH THE VERBAL AGREEMENT OF THE AWAY CLUB (email and text messages should not be used). (iv) Group matches are to commence between 6.15pm and 6.30pm. In the event of inclement weather where a match is not possible the match will be abandoned and declared ‘No Result’. No such cancellation shall be made before 2.00pm on the day on which the match is to be played. (v) Finals Day will be played on a date and venue(s) chosen by the LMC. In the event of inclement weather on finals day, the LMC holds the right to change the scheduled fixtures and/or re-arrange the date where necessary, with mutual agreement with the clubs concerned. If no decision is reached before any further deadline dates, or for another reason, then in the last resort, the decision shall be made by the toss of a coin between the two Captains when both Captains are present. In the event of the Captains not being able to be present, the tossing of the coin shall be referred to the League Secretary. 6 Match Results (i) The home club shall notify the result of the match in accordance with Rule 2.7. For Group matches, when submitting the result to the Results Service, the total number of overs and part overs received by both teams is also required for the calculation of Net Run Rate. (ii) On Finals Day, the winner of each match shall be deemed the home side. 7 Umpires (i) Neutral umpires, appointed by the Umpires Appointments Secretary will officiate in all matches. (ii) Each appointed Umpire shall, not later than the end of the interval, be paid match expenses of £20.00 shared by both clubs concerned.
