4 Constitution, Rules & Playing Conditions 43  (iii) These minimum distances apply even if the player is wearing a helmet.  (iv) Should a young player in these age groups come within the restricted distance  the Umpire (or Captains where no Umpires’ are present) must stop the game  immediately and instruct the fielder to move back.  (v)  In addition any young player in the Under 16 to Under 18 age groups, who has  not reached the age of 18, must wear a helmet when fielding within 6 yards  (5.5 metres) of the bat, except behind the wicket on the off side.  Players should  wear appropriate protective equipment whenever they are fielding in a  position where they feel at risk.  3.1.3 SAFETY GUIDANCE FOR THE WEARING OF HELMETS  (i)  Any player under the age of 18 shall be bound by the ECB Directive.  The  guidance advises that:  a)  Helmets with a faceguard or grille should be worn when batting against  a hard cricket ball in matches and in practice sessions  b)  Young players should regard a helmet with a faceguard as a normal item  of protective equipment when batting, together with pads, gloves and,  for boys, an abdominal protector  c)  Young wicket keepers should wear a helmet with a faceguard, or a  wicketkeeper face protector when standing up to the stumps  (ii)  Parental consent not to wear a helmet will not be accepted in any form of  cricket.  (iii) The guidance also applies during all practice sessions.  3.1.4 TEAM SHEETS  Each side must provide the Umpires with a team sheet before the start of the  match identifying any player in the U13, U15 or U19 age groups.  This  requirement also covers any young player taking the field as a substitute  fielder.  It is recommended that the ECB Team Sheet card as provided to clubs  is used whenever possible.  3.2 Rolling and Covering of Pitches  (i)  In addition to Law 10 the following will apply:  No rolling shall take place after the toss, except between innings, unless it is  with the consent of both Captains.  Any infringement of this rule will be reported by the Umpires to the LMC who  will deal with the matter at their discretion.  (ii)  In addition to Law 11 the following will apply:  When covers are available, in the event of rain preventing play, the whole of  the pitch shall be covered on the Umpires’ instructions.
