4 Constitution, Rules & Playing Conditions 47  3.6 Overs per Bowler  (i)  No bowler shall bowl more than 30% of the scheduled number of overs for the  innings, as at the start of the game and rounded down to the nearest over,  therefore each bowler can bowl a maximum of 13  [15] overs.  (ii)  When a team has closed its innings by declaration, the scheduled overs for the  second innings shall be revised to be the total available.  For matches that are delayed and there is a reduction in the scheduled number  of overs, or the scheduled number of overs is increased due to a declaration in  the first innings, the maximum number of overs per bowler is shown as follows:  SO Max   SO Max SO Max SO Max SO Max 40 12 50 15 60  18 70 21 41 12 51 15 61  18 71 21 42 12 52 15 62  18 72 21 43 12 53 15 63  18 73 21 44 13 54 16 64  19 74 22 45 13 55 16 65  19 75 22 36  10  46 13 56 16 66  19 76 22 37  11  47 14 57 17 67  20 77 23 38  11  48 14 58 17 68  20 78 23 39  11  49 14 59 17 69  20 79 23 Note:  SO ‐ scheduled number of overs to be bowled Max ‐ maximum number of overs per bowler Overs greater than 46  [50] , are for declarations only and NOT dismissals.  (ii)  In the event of a bowler being unable to complete an over for any reason, the  over in progress shall be completed by any other player except the player who  bowled the previous over or any player where this would contravene the ECB  Fast Bowling Directives (please refer to Rule 3.1.1 and Appendix 1).  Any such  parts of an over shall count as a full over towards each bowler’s allocation.  (iii) The Captain of the fielding side, in consultation with the Umpire(s) and/or  scorers, shall be responsible for ensuring that no bowler exceeds the quota of  overs laid down by Rule 3.6(i) or the ECB Fast Bowling Directives (please refer  to Rule 3.1.1 and Appendix 1).
