54 4.2 Qualifications (i) Trophies shall only be awarded to players who fulfil the following qualifications: a) Batting – a minimum of 50% of the scheduled number of innings for the season and 400 runs. b) Bowling – a minimum of 35 wickets. For average purposes, no record shall be allowed to count after the winning hit has been made; stumps shall be drawn immediately the winning hit is made. (ii) The previous season’s League Averages will be presented in the current League Handbook where the following criteria are met: a) Batting ‐ Championship and Division 1 a minimum of 300 runs Divisions 2 & 3 a minimum of 250 runs Divisions 4 and above a minimum of 200 runs For all Divisions, a minimum average of 20 is required b) Bowling ‐ All Divisions a minimum of 20 wickets 4.3 Timescales and Criteria (i) Nominations and Statistics requested for Individual Awards and League Averages, where requested, must be forward by clubs to reach the League Statistician not later than the first of October each year. (ii) Where any club has outstanding issues with relation to any part of Rule 2.7, players from those clubs may not be considered. 5 Qualification and Registration of Players 5.1 Registration (i) All players shall be registered under a defined category by their details being entered on the BDCL ECB Play‐Cricket website and accepted by the Player Registrar. It is the responsibility of clubs to ensure that players’ registrations are in the correct category and have been received by the Player Registrar, along with relevant documentation (where applicable), within the necessary time‐scales, with the exception of Category 3 (Exempt) players as indicated under Rule 5.2(iv) [final paragraph]. No registration will be accepted whilst a player remains registered with any other club and/or there are any outstanding financial or disciplinary issues.
