4 Constitution, Rules & Playing Conditions 59  7.2.4 The club sustaining the protest may have the contested points added to its  total points gained.  7.2.5 Clubs when making a protest shall state under which rule the protest is made.  7.3  Disputes  7.3.1 Any disputes having reference to the Laws of Cricket shall be referred to the  MCC for settlement and their decision shall be final, but in all other matters  the decision of the LMC shall be final and binding on all parties concerned.  7.3.2 If any question shall arise in connection with the League competition or any  cup, tournament, or any other competition organised by the LMC, whether or  not the same is dealt with elsewhere, either in these rules or in the rules of  any cup, tournament or other competition, the LMC shall have full power to  inflict such penalties on both clubs and players as they shall think fit and their  decision shall be final and by way of example, and not by definition, such  penalties may be either a fine, deduction of points, suspension or expulsion  from the League or any combination of them, and the amount of any fine, the  number of points deducted or period of any suspension shall be at the  absolute discretion of the LMC, whose decision shall be final PROVIDED THAT  before any such penalty is imposed:  7.3.2.1   The player and/or the Secretary of the club against whom any complaint  has been made shall be notified in writing of the complaint and shall be  advised that in the event of the complaint being substantiated the  Disciplinary Sub‐Committee may act in reliance of its powers as  contained in this rule.  7.3.2.2   Shall be notified of the date, place and time when the Disciplinary Sub‐ Committee shall consider the complaint and shall be entitled to attend  and listen to all evidence given in support of the complaint, to question  any person giving any such evidence, to call evidence on their own behalf,  and to address the Disciplinary Sub‐Committee and comment on all  points raised.  7.4  Discipline  League umpires will be following the regulations, laid down by theMCC, which  came into effect in October 2017.  CODE OF CONDUCT AND SPIRIT OF CRICKET  7.4.1  Code of Conduct 7.4.1.1   The League is committed to maintaining the highest standards of  behaviour and conduct.  This Code of Conduct incorporates the Spirit of  Cricket, as set out below.  7.4.1.2   The Captains are responsible at all times for ensuring that play is  conducted within the Spirit of Cricket as well as within the Laws.
