4 Constitution, Rules & Playing Conditions 27  2.4  Fixtures  2.4.1 Fixtures will be played on dates arranged by the Fixture Secretary.  2.4.2 A club’s league fixtures will take precedence over any other match.  2.4.3 The Fixture Secretary will publish all League Fixtures to all clubs by the end of  December each year of the close season.  Clubs will be allowed up to three  amendments (arranged between them) and returned on a pro forma to the  Fixture Secretary within 14 days.  Where clubs cannot agree upon a desired  amendment, a submission should be made to the LMC, whose decision shall  be final.  Clubs with a 3 rd  XI may be allowed additional flexibility with the  consent of the Fixture Secretary.  Final fixtures will be made available to Clubs via email and published via the  BDCL website and the BDCL ECB Play‐Cricket website.  2.4.4 Fixtures shall be made for each Saturday between late April and mid‐ September.  Bank Holidays during the season shall be used as required.  In exceptional circumstances, the Fixture Secretary may arrange fixtures to be  played on Sundays.  2.4.5 Where, for any reason, there are more than twelve teams in a Division, the  clubs in that Division shall be balloted to ascertain whether each team should  play each other twice, both home and away, or should fulfil a reduced  programme of fixtures arranged by the Fixture Secretary.  Should a ballot be  tied, the LMC shall decide on the number of fixtures to be arranged.  2.4.6 Any request for a change of fixture after the publication of the fixtures, must  be submitted in writing to the Fixture Secretary not less than ten days before  the date of the proposed change.  Such changes must have the sanction of the  LMC who will only allow them in exceptional circumstances.  2.4.7 The League Secretary will notify clubs of dates on which a Representative XI  may be required.  No player selected to play for the League in a representative  match will be allowed to play in any competition within the League’s  jurisdiction on the day of that match without the express permission of the  LMC.  2.5  Cancellation of Matches  2.5.1 A cancellation due to adverse playing conditions may be made by the home  club ONLY WITH THE VERBAL AGREEMENT OF THE AWAY CLUB  (email and  text messages should not be used).  If the away team do not agree to the cancellation and wish to travel, both  teams MUST regard the game as being ‘on and to be played’ and the umpires  will then make their usual decisions at the start of the game as to whether  play should begin in keeping with League Rules and the Laws of the game.  If  no umpires are present, Rule 2.5.5 applies.
