4 Constitution, Rules & Playing Conditions 39  3.14.5 Further details can be obtained from:  •  The NCB County Welfare Officer  •  The ECB Website  (www.ecb.co.uk/safeguarding/dbs ‐checks‐ecb‐ vetting)  3.15 Net Run‐Rate  3.15.1 A team's net run rate is calculated by deducting from the average runs per  over scored by that team throughout the competition, the average runs per  over scored against that team throughout the competition.  3.15.2 In the event of a team being all out in less than its full quota of overs, the  calculation of its net run rate shall be based on the full quota of overs to which  it would have been entitled and not on the number of overs in which the team  was dismissed.  3.15.3 Only those matches where results are achieved will count for the purpose of  net run rate calculations.  3.16 Average Run‐Rate  This calculation is only required for the team batting first and the calculation  will be based in the number of overs that the team was scheduled to receive  and not on the number actually received.  Therefore, the team batting first’s average run rate is calculated by dividing  the number of runs scored in its innings by the number of scheduled overs.
