Bassetlaw and District Cricket League Handbook 2022

Section D P a g e | 50 4.11 Loan players are required to be registered on Play-Cricket, using the timescales under Rule 5 for the game which they will play. Loan players will be dual registered for both clubs during this time. The dual registration will be removed 72 hours after the match. 5 Timescales 5.1 Teams can register players at any point during the year, but they will only be accepted between 1 April and 30 September (if not in breach of Rules 1.2, 2.9 or 4.8). 5.2 Category 1 players, who are to be registered to play for clubs in Division 1 and below, and all Cup Competitions, are to have their registrations submitted and accepted prior to the first match they play. At SHORT NOTICE , a club may notify the Match Administrator of a pending player registration by emailing details of the player concerned. This MUST include the basic details of the player (full name and Date of Birth) and the match details (Division and Match). The player must then have their registration submitted via Play-Cricket before Midnight on the day after the match. 5.3 All other players (Category 2, Category 3, and those who are to be registered to play in the Championship), are to have their registration submitted by midnight, on the Thursday prior to the match in which they will first play. 6 Sanctions 6.1 The Captains may mutually agree to allow a player, otherwise deemed ineligible by these Rules, to play without reservation. The captain of the team should make the request for such a player to be allowed to play to the captain of the opposing team before the visiting club would reasonably have been expected to travel to the match. Both Captains must acknowledge acceptance of such agreement to the Match Administrator before the match commences. 6.2 In all categories players not registered as per these Rules will be deemed as unregistered. 6.3 Any team that plays an unregistered player will face a sanction as determined by the League Management Committee Sanctions Sub-Committee. Should the misdemeanour be deemed necessary of further investigation, or gave the team a distinct advantage, further sanctions will be determined by the League Management Committee Sanctions Sub-Committee. For Cup matches, the offending team will automatically concede the match.
