manner prejudicial to the good name or interests of the League. 3.2 Any player or club committing such a breach shall be liable to penalties in the manner prescribed in this document. 3.3 A breach of the Code of Conduct will normally be categorised as Level 1, 2, 3 or 4, as set out in Appendix 1. 3.4 Reporting of Breaches 3.4.1 For a first offence of a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct in a match, the umpire(s) should warn the player as to his future conduct and advise him and his captain that any repetition in the match will in a Level 1 Disciplinary Offence report (L1DO) or a formal Disciplinary report. 3.4.2 If any player receiving such a warning then commits a further Level 1 breach in the match, the umpire(s) will advise him and his captain that they will be submitting an L1DO. 3.4.3 Should the umpire(s) consider that the first (or subsequent) offence of a Level 1 breach is sufficiently serious, they have the authority to decide to submit an L1DO or a formal Disciplinary report without having previously issued any warning. The player and his captain should be advised accordingly. 3.4.4 In all instances of any perceived Level 2, 3 or 4 breach, the umpire(s) must complete a formal report. 3.4.5 The report should be submitted using the standard discipline report form. 4 Procedure 4.1 Any alleged breach of Paragraph 1 above shall be notified in writing (to be known as ‘a Complaint’) to the Chairman of the Disciplinary Sub- Committee (the Committee) 4.2 Upon receipt of such complaint by its Chairman and as soon as reasonably practicable, the Committee shall consider the complaint and resolve either: 4.2.1 To take no action except to record the complaint and notify the club and/ or the player, as the case may be; or 4.2.2 To endorse the disciplinary action taken by the Club; or 4.2.3 To issue a Level 1 Disciplinary Offence (L1DO) notice; or 4.2.4 To refer the matter to a Disciplinary Hearing which shall be convened by the Secretary to the Committee as soon as practicable. 4.3 The Committee may of its own volition consider any incident which may come to its notice even if no complaint relating to such incident has been made. In such event the Committee shall resolve as set out in sub- paragraph 4.2. 4.4 On receipt of an L1DO notice, a player or Club may, within 7 days of receipt, request a formal hearing in place of the L1DO. In such event the Committee shall resolve as set out in sub-paragraph 4.2. 5. Disciplinary Hearing 5.1 In any case which is referred for a Disciplinary Hearing, at least seven days’ notice in writing of the hearing and the offence(s) alleged shall be given to the player, or in the case of a Club, its secretary. All level 3 and 4 offences will in a full hearing. 5.2 The Secretary to the Committee shall convene a hearing as soon as is 115
