UKFast Cheshire Cricket League Match Rules 1st & 2nd XI Divisional League Championship 26. General Promotion and Relegation At the conclusion of the season each division will have promotion and relegation. The actual number of teams to be relegated and promoted from each Division will be defined at the start of the season. However for season 2019 they will follow the template detailed below: Division Division Positions Promoted Division Positions Relegated 1 First & Second to CCCL Bottom 2 teams to Division 2 2 First & Second to Division 1 Bottom 3 teams to Division 3 3 First Only to Division 2 Bottom 3 teams to Division 4 4 First Only to Division 3 No Relegation A First & Second to CCCL Bottom 3 teams to Division B B First in each region to Division A plus 2nd placed team with highest average points Bottom team in each region to Division C regions plus 2nd to bottom placed team with lowest average points. C First Only in each region to Division B regions No Relegation a) After the conclusion of the season the actual promotions and relegations may change due to circumstances outside of club finishing positions. b) No club may be promoted to Division 1 or Division A of the League without Clubmark accreditation and any team currently in Division 1 or Division A that loses it's Clubmark accreditation may be relegated after investigation by the Executive committee. c) Promotion to any League in accordance with these provisions shall be subject to that League’s ground criteria in force at the relevant time being met and if they are not met or if for any other reason promotion to or relegation from other Leagues shall not prove possible in any season the Executive Committee, may make such other arrangements in relation to these matters as shall be deemed appropriate. d) No two teams from the same club can play in the same division. If a team is promoted or relegated to a division where the club already has a team, then in the case of regional divisions the teams may be split into different regions. If this is not possible then promotion and relegation may not be possible. 97
