Cheshire Cricket League Match Rules 1st & 2nd XI Divisional League Championship 24. General Promotion and Relegation At the conclusion of the season each division will have promotion and relegation. The actual number of teams to be relegated and promoted from each Division will be defined at the start of the season. There will be at least two promotion positions in all divisions. However for season 2022 they will follow the template detailed below: Division Division Positions Promoted Division Positions Relegated 1 First & Second to CCCL Bottom 2 teams to Division 2 2 First & Second to Division 1 Bottom 2 teams to Division 3 3 First & Second to Division 2 No Relegation A First & Second to CCCL Bottom 4 teams to Division B Regions B West First & Second to Division A Bottom 4 teams to Division C Regions B East First & Second to Division A Bottom 5 teams to Division C Regions C First & Second in each regional division to Division B Regions No Relegation a) After the conclusion of the season the actual promotions and relegations may change due to circumstances outside of club finishing positions. b) No club may be promoted to Division 1 or Division A of the League without meeting the prevailing ECB standards requirement for entry to an ECB Premier League and any team currently in Division 1 or Division A that loses the same accreditation may be relegated after investigation by the Executive Committee To be a full member of the League, a club must be affiliated to the ECB through the Cheshire Cricket Board and have adopted the ECB Safe Hands Policy and ECB Anti-Discrimination Code. No club may achieve promotion from the Cheshire Cricket League to the Cheshire County Cricket League without Clubmark accreditation. 90
