Cheshire Cricket League Constitution 4. The Treasurer The Treasurer will keep requisite books of account of the League’s financial affairs in respect of which he will submit an audited statement at the Annual General Meeting. He will be responsible for receiving all moneys due to the League and he will be responsible for making all payments due by the League. 5. Competition Secretary All divisions and cup competitions that the League operates are allocated to a Competition Secretary to administer. The Competition Secretary for a Division or Cup will be the person responsible for ensuring that all Competition Rules are followed and dealing with any breaches of the rules (other than disciplinary issues which are the responsibility of the Disciplinary Chairman). Competition Secretaries’ duties include oversight of results on Play Cricket (in conjunction with the League Play Cricket Administrator(s) and the accuracy of League tables. The officer is also empowered by the Management Committee to deal with any queries from clubs, variations from the rules as written and for handling all matters not adequately covered by the rules as written. 6. The Financial Year The League’s financial year shall end on 30th November. 7. Independent Examiner of Accounts A Honorary Independent Examiner of Accounts shall be appointed at the Annual General Meeting. 8. Ground Inspection The Executive Committee shall, at their first meeting after the Annual General Meeting, appoint a ground inspection sub-committee consisting of eight representatives. Each season they shall inspect the grounds and facilities of all member clubs and report back to the Executive Committee with their findings and recommendations. The ground inspection sub-committee may also and from time to time recommend for consideration and (if thought fit) adoption by the Executive Committee criteria for all or any of the facilities of the member clubs. 9. League Representatives Clubs are reminded of the importance of attending Annual General, Special General, Management Committee and other Special meetings which maybe called during the year. All clubs must advise the General Secretary, no later than one month following the Annual General Meeting of the League, of the name, email address and telephone number of their appointed Representative on the Management Committee. 72
