Cheshire Cricket League Match Rules 1st & 2nd XI Divisional League Championship b) If either competing team is unable to field eleven players they shall be reported to the Executive Committee by the Competition Secretary. On receiving a report the Committee may at their discretion fine the offending clubs up to a maximum of £10.00 for each offence in 1st XI matches. c) If a team has fewer than 7 players at the scheduled time to make the toss, the defaulting club will forfeit the toss. Such incidents must be reported to the Executive Committee for investigation. The Executive Committee shall have the power to deduct points for persistent offenders in respect of timekeeping. 10. Either Captain may request the pitch to be rolled before the commencement of a game. Such rolling to end no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled time for commencement and in all cases, before the ‘toss’ has been made. 11. An interval of 30 minutes is to be taken, usually between innings. If the 30- minute interval has been taken at some other time (e.g. during an extended stoppage for rain) then this interval shall not count as ‘playing time’. However, any time off the field in the stoppage, over and above the 30 minutes, is still counted as lost time. The subsequent 10-minute stoppage between innings is not treated as lost playing time. 12. The winner will be determined as the side who scored the most runs over the course of their completed innings or in the case of a match with reduced overs by determining whether the DLS target has been reached or not. The winning team will be awarded 12 points. Additional bonus points can be achieved in two ways: Firstly, both sides can score up to two extra points based on their performance in the first innings of the match as follows: • The side batting first will get one point for reaching 100 runs and a second point for reaching 150 runs. • The side bowling first will get one point for taking five wickets and a second point for taking seven wickets or by bowling their opposition out if their opponents have eight or less players. * In the event of a reduced overs games, batting points will be reduced as shown below. 81
