Cheshire Cricket League Match Rules 1st & 2nd XI Divisional League Championship 17. Transfers may be made by: a) Written/e-mail submission to the Competition Secretary including where necessary clearance from a previous club prior to the player’s first appearance in the League Championship. b) Telephone to the Competition Secretary. This form of registration applies to one appearance only and written confirmation of registration together with any necessary clearance from a previous club must be received by the Competition Secretary within 5 days and before any further appearance by the player. c) No player may make his first appearance of the season in the last 2 games of the season, in the case of 2nd XI cricket, a player is allowed to make his first appearance if neither of these last two games affects promotion or relegation or the player complies with Rule 16h. 18. If a Club wishes to transfer in a player who is either registered with a Club within another Saturday League, Association or Competition, or who has played within another Saturday League, Association or Competition during the current season, consent must be received from his previous Club, in writing, indicating that he has no remaining liabilities, either monetary or otherwise, to that Club. The consent must be from an appropriate named officer of the other club (e.g. Chairman, Secretary, League Rep). If the other club utilises Play-Cricket then the transfer must be accomplished using the transfer facility in Play Cricket with the Competition Secretary copied in directly using existing Play-Cricket functionality. If the other club does not actively use Play-Cricket then a copy of the letter or email approval, must be forwarded promptly to the Competition Secretary. Providing such consent has been received by the Competition Secretary, permission to play can be granted with immediate effect pending ratification by the Executive Committee. 19. a) If a team is considered to have played an ineligible player, the normal outcome will be loss of all points earned plus a penalty of 10 points for each game where the ineligibility occurred.
