8 18. Match Result The Secretary of the home club must advise the appropriate Secretary (see page two) of the results of each match (whether cancelled or not) on the official scoresheet provided, not later than 48 hours following the match. The scoresheet must be completed in full, listing all 22 players, regardless of whether all have batted. A fine as per Rule 32 will be imposed for non- compliance with this rule. Both clubs should have an agreed record of the scoring of the game in their scorebooks, and this should be retained until the season is complete. It is essential that this is kept correctly, with batsmen’s scores, score and overs, total score, and individual over breakdowns and bowling figures an absolute minimum. It is recognised good practice that the batting side should cover the scoring of a game when a fielding side has only 11 representatives present. At the end of each innings the scorebooks should be checked and agreed by both captains to avoid disputes arising as a match or season progresses. 19. Umpires Where possible neutral umpires will officiate in matches. If this is not the case the batting side must provide umpires who must act, as the spirit of the game should be treat. Any breaches should be reported to the League. 20. Payment of Umpires The neutral umpire's fee shall be shared by both clubs equally. If a match has been cancelled but the umpires have not been informed of such a cancellation and they report to the ground to officiate at the match, the umpires shall be paid half fee plus any expenses incurred. Where there is only one umpire at a match the fee shall be one fee plus half a fee. 21. Umpires Unable To Take Appointments Should any umpire be unable to take any appointments, he must notify the Hon. Secretary of the Umpires’ Association who will arrange a substitute from the League’s list of official umpires. 22. Umpires’ Association The Umpires’ Association shall be an integral part of the League and subject to its rules and requirements. 23. Complaints In the event of any complaint being made against a club, the League Secretary should acquaint the offending club of the exact nature of the complaint at least seven days before the League meeting at which such complaint should come up for consideration. A club shall not be called unless it has received seven days notice as above. The complaint must be made in writing and accompanied by a fee of £2. The fee will be forfeited if the Committee considers the complaint or appeal frivolous and refunded if considered reasonable. Should the complaint be proved the offending club shall be dealt with as the Committee may direct, taking into account Rule 31. 24. Financial Defaulters No player who has not fulfilled his financial obligations to his club in this League shall be allowed to play for another club in this League.
