GRIMSBY & DISTRICT CRICKET RULES. continued 9. ARRANGEMENTS OF FIXTURES. Fixtures to be arranged by the League Officials. The fixtures for each Division to be completed and issued to each Club by 15th March. Any Elteration to such fixtures must be made before 15th April and the League Secretary notified of the alteration by all Clubs concerned, after which time fixtures must be strictly adhered to. Any Club not fulfilling such fixtures may be fined 10/6d by the League Committee for the first offence, i,nd expenses incurred shall be reimbursed. For the second offence, the Club is liable to be expelled from the League. l 0. PLAYERS. Clubs must register with the Hon. Secretary a list of play– ing members each year before the commencement of the season. Any Club with teams in rr,ore than one Division shall be allowed to pla y its rr ,err.be rs in either Division up to 8th July in each season. At this date, a player who has played in six matches in a higher Division shall not play in a lower Division without special permission of the Le agu e Officials . Additional registrations can be effected until 8th July, after '. n is date formal application for further registrations will be considered by the League Officials but will only be allowed in extenuating circumstances. A player shall only be allowed to play for one Club in any Saturday Division and one Club in any Mid Week Division in one season w ithout the Club's Secretaries and League Secretaries permission of transference. 11. REGISTRATION. Members of Clubs are ineligible to play in any match unless their names have been registered or transferred by the League Committee. Any Club playing an unregistered player shall be fined frorr, ·10/6d. to a maximurr, of £1 ls. 0d. and forfeit t wo points from points gained. The offending player shall also be fined a rr,inimurr. of J0/6d. 12. TRANSFER OF PLAYERS. No affiliated League Club, either through itsOfficials or any person or society interested in the Club, shall approach during the current playing season, any pla yer of any other affiliated League Club for the purpose of securing his services at any time w ithout first giv– ing seven days' notice of their intention to negotiate. This notice must be given to the Secretary of the Pla yer 1 s Club in writing a nd by reg istered post. No player sha ll negotiate with any other Le,,gue Club unle ss he can produce in writing an official perrr.ission fron , his present Club. Such permission shall not be withheld unless the player has failed to fulfil all financial obligations to his Club. The player shall have the right to appeal to the Committee if permission is withheld without just case. Transfer Fee 2/- is payable to the League Secretary at time of transfer. 13, METHOD OF SCORING IDINTS. All Saturday Division games shall be allowed four points for an outright win. Two points to be a warded for a tie . Ir. a drawn game the team scoring the highest number of runs sha ll be a warded three points and their opponents awarded one point. 1\ll abandoned and rr,atches cancelled through weather shall count as a tie. In all other divisions two points shall be allowed for a wi n, one point for a tie or draw. Abandoned and matches cancelled through \\'eathcr shall count as a draw. 14. CANCELLATION OF MATCHES. No match sha ll be cancelled through weather before i I o'clock a. m. on the day of the match unless authority is obtained from the League Secretary. JS. All n-,atches in Saturday Divisions shall commence at 2.30 p.m. Clubs wishing to start at 3.00 p.111 , n,a y do so by mutual consent, but must notify the Secretary of th e U mpires 1 .-'.ssociat– ion not less than fourteen clear days before the match in question. Games shall be of JOO, 90 , 80 or 70 six ball overs duration, to be decided by the Captains before the match.
