GRIMSBY & DISTRICT CRICKET LEAGUE RULES AMENDED 1.12.65 1. NAME. The League shall be known as the " G,imsby and District Cricket League". 2. OFFICIALS. The Officers shall consist of a Chairman, Vice-Chairmen, Hon. Treasurer and Hon. Secretary. These shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. 3. COMMITTEE. The Committee to transact the business o-1 the League shall be the Officers and one representative from each Club constitu\ing the League. Six Club representatives to form a Quorum. 4. COM,MITTEE MEETINGS. The Committee shall meet bi-monthly or at any time as the business of the League may require. Seven days' notice of all meetings shall be sent by post to all Officers and Club Sec re-caries. Consistent non-attendance at meetings withput extenua\ing c ircumstances by any Club shall render them liable to a fine not exceeding 5/· per meeting, at the Committee's discretion. . 5. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. The Annual General Meeting shall be held before the 31 st December of each year. The business shall be to elect Officers, Aµditors, Ground Inspection Committee, to recei\e and consider· a report· and balance sheet, ·to consider proposed .new rules, or amendments to existing rules and any other matter affecting the League of which.·due and proper notice has been given. (See rule 27). 6. MEMBERSHIP. (a) Present Members. A Club desiring admission to the Leagi.;e must apply by the 31st October each year (a Club applying after this date shall ce -surcharg.ed 10/6d.) ·and shall be co·nside_red pro– vided its ground, dressing accommodation and appointments are of satisfactory standard and have been certified to be so by the Grounds Inspection Committee, whose decision must be placed before the Committee for confirma\ion. A_ny CILJb in membership allowing its wicket or ground to deteriorate shall be subject to an inspection by the Grounds .Inspection Committee whici1 sh:;;11 report to.- the Committee. In the event of: an adverse report, the Committee shall warn such Club· that, unless the necessary impr0\1ement is effected within a specified r:erfcd, it will not be allowed to continue in membership. (b) New Membern. Any Club applying for l"l)emcership for the first time or after the lapse of a season or more, shall submit applica· tion by the 31st October (a Club applying after this daie shall be surcharged 10/6d.) in any year and such application shall be considered by the League in General Meeting. The decision as to which Division of the League any newly elected Club shall join shall be decided by the League in General Meeting. (c) ·Oivisione. Division 1 to consist oi a maximum of 12, only or.e team from any Club to ccmpete in this Division. Al l other Divisions shall consist of a maximum of 10 teams. 7. VOTING. Officials and each Club shall have one vote only. The Chairman shall have a casting vote. 8. DEPOSITS and SUBSCRIPTIONS. Each Club sha!I pay a depo~it of 10/· on ·entering the League. The Annual Subscription i"or each team to l:e fixed yearly &t the Annual General Meeting to be paid by 31 st May each year. Clubs not comp lying to this rule wi ll be fined £1 1s. 0d. Club Secretaries will be expected to hold a Registration Form fo r each player to substantiate League Registration Forms submitted to the League Sec· retary. In the case of Clubs with both Saturday and Mid Week teams, separate forms would be required for each team. In case this does net meet the expenses of the League, each team shall contribute equally towards such sum as may be required. Season 1967. £2 12s.
