REGISTRATION. Members of Clubs are ineligible to play in any match unless their names have been registered or transferred by the League Committee. Any Club playing an unregistered player shall be fined from 10/6d. to a maximum of £1 1s. 0d. and forfeit two points from points gained. The offending player shall also be fined a minimum of 10/6d. 12. TRANSFER OF PLAYERS. No affiliated League Club, either through its Officials or any person or society interested in the Club, shall approach during the current playing season, any player of any other affiliated League Club for the purpose of securing his services at any time without first giving seven days' notice of their intention to negotiate. This notice must be given to the Secretary of the Player's Club in writing and by registered post. No player shall negotiate with any other League Club unless he cari produce in writing an official permission from his present Club. Such permission shall not be withheld unless the player has failed to fulfil all financial obligations to his Club. The player shall have the right to api:;eal to the Committee if permission is withheld without just case. Transfer Fee 2/- is payable to the League Secretary at time of transfer. 13. METHOD OF SCORING POINTS. All Saturday Division games shall be allowed four points for an outright win. Two points to be awarded for a tie. In a drawn game the team scoring the highest number of runs shall be awarded three points and their opponents awarded one point. All abandoned and matches cancelled through weather shall count as a tie. In all other divisions two points shall be allowed for a win, one point for a tie or draw. Abandoned and matches cancelled through weather shall count as a draw. 14. CANCELLATION OF MATCHES. No match shall be cancelled through weather before 11 o'clock a.m. on the day of the match unless authority is obtained from the League Secretary. 15. HOURS and CONDITIONS of PLAY - SATURDAY DIVISIONS. Punctuality is absolutely essential. All matches in Saturday Divisions shall commence at 2.30 p.m. Clubs wishing to start at 3 p.m. may do so by mutual consent, but must notify the Secretary of the Umpires' Association not less than fourteen clear days before the match in question. Games shall be of 100, 90, 80 or 70 six ball overs duration, to be decided by the Captains before the match. Failing agreement between the Captains the matter shall be decided by the Umpires. Should the team batting first be still at the crease when half the number of overs agreed upon is expired they shall declare their innings closed and their opponents shall then bat for an equal number of overs. In the event of the team batting first being all out or declaring before the expiration of their allotted overs, the batting time of their opponents shall be increased by the number of complete overs unused by the opposition. Should the team batting second be not all out when time is called the result shall be a draw. In all divisions in case of rain, stumps shall not be drawn before 6.00 p.m. without the consent of both Captains. The tea interval shall be one of 20 minutes. The interval between innings shall be of 10 minutes duration as provided by M.C.C. Rules but under no circumstances shall the 30 minutes be taken at any one time. Umpires must report to the Hon. Secretary any Club not ready to commence at the appointed time. Offending Clubs are liable to a fine not exceeding 10/-. Matches in Mid Week Divisions shall not start later than 6.15 p.m . The Captains shall decide before the match whether the minimum number of 20 completed overs or the maximum of 25 completed 28
