GRIMSBY AND DISTRICT CRICKET LEAGUE RULES 1976 1. NA ME . Th e League shall be know n as th e " Grimsby and District Cric ket League" 2. OFFICIALS. The Offi cers shall consi st of a President, Chairman , Vice– Ch airman , Hon . Treasurer, Hon . Secretary, Hon. A ssistant Treasurer and Hon . Assi stant Secretary. These shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting . 3. COMM ITTEE . The Committee to transact the business of the League shall be the Officers and one representative from each Club constitut ing the League. Six Club representatives to form a Quorum. 4. COMMITTEE MEETING. The Committee shall meet bi -monthly or at any time as the business of the League may require. Seven days' Notice of all meetings sha ll be sent by post to all Officers and Club Secretaries. Consistent non-attend– ance at meetings without extenuating circumstances by any Club shall render them liable to a fine not exceeding 25p per meeting, at the Committee' s dis– cretion. 5. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. The Annual General Meeting shal l be held before the 31 st December each year. The business shall be to elect Officers, Auditors, Ground Inspection Committee, to receive and consider a report and bal – ance sheet, to consider proposed new rules, or amendments to exist ing rules and any other matter affecting the League of which due and proper notice has been given (See Rule 27) 6. MEMBERSHIP (a) Present Members. A Club desiring admission to the League must apply by the 31 st October each year (a Club applying after this date shall be surcharged 50p) and shall be considered provided its ground, dressing nccommodation and appo intments are of sat isfactory standard and have been certified to be so by the Grounds Inspection Committee, whose decision must be pieced before the Committee for confirmation. Any Club in membership allowing its wicket or ground to deteriorate shal l be sub– ject to an inspection by the Grounds Inspection Committee which sha ll report to the Committee. In the event of an adverse report, the Committee shall worn such Club that unless the necessary improvement is effected within a specified period, it will not be allowed to continue in membership. (b) New Members. Any Club applying for membership for the first time or after the lapse of a season or more, shall submit application by the 31 st October (a Club applying after this date shall be surcharged 50p) in any year and such application shall be considered by the League in General Meeting . The decision as to which Division of the League any newly elected Club shall join shall be decided by the League in General Meeting (cl D1v1sions. All Divisions to consist of a max imum of 12 teams only one team from each Club to compete in any Division. 7. VOTING . Officials of each Club shall have one vote only . The Chairman shall have a casting vote. 8. DEPOSITS and SUBSCRIPTIONS. Each Club shall pay a deposit of 50p on entering the League. An Annual Subscription for each team to be fixed yearly at t he Annual General Meeting to be paid by 31st March each year. Clubs not complying with this rule will be fined £1. In case this does not meet the expenses of the League, each team shall contribute equally towards such sums as may be required. Season 1976 £3.50 per team, including handbooks. 3
