15. HOURS and CONDITIONS OF PLAY - SATURDAY DIVISIONS . PunctUality is absolutely essential. All matches in Saturday Divisions shall commence at 2.30 p.m. Clubs wishing to start at 3 p.m. may do so by mutual con– sent, but must notify the Secretary or the Umpires' Association not less than fourteen clear days before the match in question. Games shall be of 100, 90, 80 or 70 six ball overs' duration, to be de- cided by the Captains before the match, failing agreement between the Captains the matter shall be decided by the Umpires. Should the team batting first be still at the crease when half the number of overs agreed upon is expired they shall declare their innings clos~d and their opponents shall then bat for an equal number of overs. In the event of the team batting first being all out or declaring before the expiration of their allotted overs, the batting time of their apponents shall be increased by the ~umber of complete overs unused by the oppositi,>n . Should the team batting second be not all out when time is called the result shall be a draw. In all divisions in case of rain, stumps shall not be drawn before 6 p .m. without the consent of both Captains. The team interval shall be one of 20 min– utes. The interval between innings shall be of 10 minutes' duration as provided by M .C.C. Rules but under. no circumstances shall the 30 minutes be taken at any one time. Umpires must report to the Hon. Secretary any Club not ready to com– mence at the apoointed ti me. Offending Clubs are liable to a fine not exceeding 50p. Matches in Mid Week Divi~ions shall not start later than 6.15 p.m. The Captains must decide before the match whether the minimum number of 20 com– pleted overs or the maximum of 25_completed overs shall be bowled. Mid-Week matches, the Captain winning the toss at the first meeting shall have the option of:- (a) Deciding to bat or field in that game, (b) Reserving the right of cho ice for the second game. If an over is unable to be completed owing to incapacitation or suspension of a bowler, it shall be completed by another player on the fielding side other than the bowler currently operating at the other end. 16. PLAYERS CROSSING . The outgoing batsman must meet the ingo– ing batsman outside the pavilion. Umpires must report any flagrant breach of this rule. 17. MATCH BALLS. That each field ing side shall provide its own ball. It shall not be compulsory to provide a new ttall but the ball provided must be leather covered and approved as fit for play by the Umpires and must be in their possesstion before the fieldi ng side takes the field. 18. MATCH RESULTS. The Secretary of the Home Club must advise the Secretary of the Le.igue the result of each match (whether cancelled or not) on the Official Form provided, nc:t later than 48 hours following the match. A fine of 50p will be imposed for non-compliance with this rule. 19. UMPIRES. Neutral Ur 1pires shall officiate in all Senior Division Mat::hes. EaLh Club with a team in other Divisions shall whenever possible nominate one or more aµproved Umpires to officiate in its own Club matches. 5
