declared -by the captains before the match. Should a start not be able to be made ,before 5 p.m. through 1he weather, then 60 overs may -be played. Failing agree– ment between the captains, the matter shall then be d~-·ded by the Umpires. iShould the ,team batting first t till at the crease when half the number of overs agreed upon is expired, they shall declare their innings closed and their opponents shall then bat for an equal number of overs. In ·the event of the team bat-ting first being all out or declaring before the expiration of their allotted overs, the batting time of their opponents shall be increased by •the number of complete overs unused by the opposition. Should the ~earn batting second be not all out when time is called, the result shall be ·a draw. (See !Rule 12 for points awarded.) In the case of rain, stumps shal l not be drawn before 6 p.m. without the consent of both captains. The tea interval shall be of twenty minutes. The ,interval between the innings shall be of ten minutes duration as pro– vided by -M.C.C. rules, but under no circumstances shall the th'irty minutes be taken at one ,time. M.C.C. Laws of <Cricket ,apply •as recommended by the League Cricket Conference. 'Umpires must report any club not ready to commence at the appointed time. Offending clubs shall be fined fifty pence. 15. Players Crossing The outgoing player must meet the ingoing player • outside the pavilion. Umpires must report any flagrant breach of this law. 16. Match Balls Each fielding side shall provide its own ball. It shall ' j)e compulsory •to provide a new ball, but the ball p, ~ , fded shall be leather covered and approved as fit by the Umpires and must be in their possession before the fielding side takes the field. 1 . Match Results The Secret,ary of -the Home Club must advise the Secretary of the League the result of each match (whether cancelled or not) on the official form pro– vided not later than 48 hours following ·the match. A fine of 50 pence will be imposed for non-compliance of this rule.
