Burnett, Grimsby Town LINCOLNSHIRE LEAGUE V INTERNATIONAL CAVALIERS Once more a large crowd of Lincolnshire cricket followers were treated to an exhibition of exhilarating and high class play ·in the now annual meeting between the League XI and the International Cavaliers. • Graham Pollock, one of the greatest batsmen in 1he world , hammered his way to a century-a .performance he repeated .again England for the Rest of the World only a few days later-in the match wh ich was excel- lently staged by the Cleethorpes Cricket Club. Along with such prominent players as Eddie Barlow, Bob Barber, Ted Dexter, Derek Murray, Randolf Ram- nar,ace, <Fred Trueman and Neil Hawke, Pollock gave the Crowd a wonderful day's cricket in warm sunshine. Not all of ,the outstanding performances came from the Cavaliers, however. Brian Christie gathered 55 runs against ,a str.ong attack ,and there were other sound displays fr,om the Lincolnshire side to make it a most attractive game. ----
