' (iv) Each fielding side shall provide its own ball . It shall not be compulsory to provid ,· a new ball but the ball provided shall be leather covered and approved as fit by the umpires and must be in their possession before the fielding side takes the field. 7. PROMOTION/RELEGATION This will be on a two up, two down basi.s between the divisions. No second eleven will be eligible for promotion to a higher division if the First Eleven is in this division or is due for relegation to this division. No team finishing lower than third position in its Leagw will be granted promotion. A club First Eleven which is relegated to a lower division also deems that the Second Eleven will also be relegated if the Second Eleven is in a division immediately below the First Eleven, irrespective of its finishing position in that division, unless the Second Eleven qualifies for promotion, in which case, both teams would remain static. Should the occasion arise where none or only one of the first three teams in a division can be promoted, then similarly none or only one of the teams in the division above will be relegated. The bottom two clubs in Division 3 shall apply for re -election to the League, along with new applicants, at the time of the A.G.M. If the First Eleven of a club with a Second Eleven in Division 3 is relegated to Division 3, then the club's Second Eleven shall be removed from the League. Triple tie : should three clubs finish level for relegation or promotion, the winner shall be- (i) The team with the most wins. (ii) If equal, team with most winning draws. (iii) Any situation not co.vered by these arrangements will be decided by the Officials of the League. 8. GENERAL Extra Rules The Committee shall have the power to deal with any matter which may arise affecting the League which is not provided for in these Rules. 13
