FIXTURE EMERGENCY SERVICE The Llncolnshire Cricket Association operate this service to try to help clubs suffering late cancellations, or finding themselves with a vacant date for any reason. Clubs should telephone: Mr. David A. Chambers, Llncoln (0522) 24262 Address: 13 Redbourne Drive, Lincoln. This is the procedure: (1) Clubs requiring a fixture should-telephone David Chamhers. who will supply the names and telephone numbers of other clubs requiring a fixture on the date in question. It is then Ul' to the Secretaries concerned to get together and arrange a game. (The Service brings clubs together, it does -not arrange fixtures for clubs). (2) MOST IMPORTANT! T<' save time and troubk for other clubs trying to arrange fixtures on the same date, clubs are asked to telephone David when games are successfully arranged so that his records can be amended. (3) When telephoning, clubs are asked to supply the following . information: (a) Name of Club. (b) Name and telephone number of caller. (c) Date or dates that are available. (d) Whether a ground is available. (e) Maximum distance the club is willing to travel for an away game. (This is important as the Service works with the Nottingham Fixture Service). (f) Approximate strength of team. The Service is -available to all cricket clubs and is free to all members of the Lincolnshire Cricket Association.
