5.2 Payment of Umpires During the interval, Oubs shall pay the current League Fee for umpires, plus any expenses incurred. The League Fee shall be decided at the AGM. The payment shall be shared by both Oubs equally. If a match is cancelled and the umpires are not informed .and turn up to officiate at the match, the umpires shall be paid half the current Fee plus any expenses incurred. In the event of the umpires turning up and no play being possible because of the weather they shall again be paid half the current Fee plus any expenses incurred. 6. PLAYING RULES 6.1 Laws M.C.C. Laws of Cricket apply, as recommended by the League Cricket Conference. 6.2 Conditions of Play Time of starting shall be 2.30 p.m. unless otherwise agreed by the teams involved. Umpires shall be notified of any change in starting time. Games shall be of 100, 90, 80, or 70 six-ball overs duration, to be declared by the Captains before the match. Should a start not be possible before 4.30 p.m. because of the weather, then fewer overs (minimum of 50) may be played. Failing agreement between the Captains, the matter shall then be decided by the umpires. Should the team batting first still be at the crease when half the number of overs agreed upon has expired, they shall declare their innings closed and their opponents shall then bat for an equal number of overs. In the event of the team batting first being all out or declaring their innings before the end of their allotted overs, the batting time of their opponents shall be increased by the number of complete overs unused. Should the team batting be not all out when time is called, the result shall be a draw. 6.3 Method of Scoring Points a) Ten points for an outright win. b) In a drawn game, the maximum number of points allocated shall be ten. 38
