Lincolnshire County Cricket League Handbook 1978

6 .6 Intervals The tea interval shall be 20 minutes. The interval between innings shall be 10 minutes, but under no circumstances shall the 30 minutes be taken at one time. 6.7 General Points a) Umpires shall report any Club not ready to start at the precise appointed time. The offending club and time of start should be noted on the score– sheet. Offending Clubs shall be fined as per Rule 9. b) An over which cannot be completed because of the incapacitation or suspension of the bowler shall be completed by another member of the fielding side, other than the bowler at the opposite end. c) The outgoing batsman must meet the incoming batsman outside the pavilion. Umpires shall report any flagrant breach of this rule. d) Each fielding side shall provide its own ball. It shall not be compulsory to provide a new ball, but the ball provided shall be leather - covered and approved as fit by the umpires, and must be in their possession before the fielding side takes the field. 7 PROMOTION/RELEGATION This shall be on a two-up, two-down basis between the divisions. No team shall be eligible for promotion to a higher division if their Club already has a team in that division, or a team due for relegation to that division. No team finishing lower than third in its division shall be granted promotion. A first (or second) team which is relegated deems that their second (or third) team shall also be relegated if the second (or third) team is in the division immediately below the first (or second) team, regardless of the finishing position of the second (or third) team unless the second (or third) team qualifies for promotion, in which case both teams shall remain static. Should the occasion arise where none or only one of the first three teams in a division can be promoted, then, similarly, none or only one of the teams in the division above shall be relegated. 40
