5.2 Payment of Umpires During the interval, clubs shall pay the current League fee for umpires, plus any expenses incurred. The League fee shall be decided at the A.G .M. The payment shall be shared by both clubs equally. If a match is cancelled and the umpires are not informed and turn up to officiate at the match, the umpires shall be paid half the current fee plus any expenses incurred. In the event of the umpires turning up and no play being possible because of the weather they shall again be paid half the current fee plus any expenses incurred. 6. RULES OF MATCH PLAY 6.1 Conduct of Matches Matches shall be conducted in accordance with the M .C.C. Laws of Cricket governing one-day matches, as recommended by the League Cricket Con– ference, except for matters provided for in these Rules. 6.2 Match Start Times and Duration All matches shall be of 90 overs duration. Matches shall start at 2.30 p.m . in the months of May, June and July; at 2 p.m .. in the months of April and August; at 1.30 p.m . in the month of September. 6.3 Length of Innings In an uninterrupted match the first team shall not bat more than half of the 90, 6-ball overs. The innings shall then be closed. If the side batting first is dismissed, or the captain declares, before the end of its allotted overs, then the side batting second shall have the remaining number of unused complete overs added to its allotted numbers. 6.4 Cancelled Games No match shall be cancelled due to weather conditions prior to 10 a.m. on the day of the match. If the home team deems it advisable to cancel the fixture, a nominated representative frcm the home club shall contact a nominated representative of the visiting club and seek his agreement to the game being cancelled. Unless mutual agreement to cancel is obtained, arrangements for the fixture to take place will continue . Each club will nominate three repre– sentatives in a priority order, who are contactable on the telephone, and these names and telephone numbers will be printed in the handbook. No cancelled fixtures shall be re-arranged . The scoresheet should be sent to the Fixture Secretary stating "No Result". 6.5 Start Delayed Due to Bad Weather The captains can mutually agree to cancel a fixture if they are both on the ground, but in any case, no match shall start any later than three hours after the original start time. If the start of play is delayed for less than 30 minutes, then the full 90 over match shall be played . If the start of play is delayed for 30 minutes or more, then overs shall be deducted from the total for the match according to the following table: Start Time Delay (mins.)
