HABCROSS LINCOLNSHIRE LEAGUE K.O. COMPETITION FOR THE G. MARSHALL TROPHY RULES 1. All Harcross Lincoln shire County Cricket League Clubs are automatically entered . 2. The Laws of Cri cket shal l apply, except where stated otherwise . 3. Each player must be a bona-fide member of that club. No player shall play for two competing clubs in this competition in the same season. 4. If there are more than 32 competing clubs, then a preliminary round draw will be made from the teams from Divisions 1, 2 and 3. 5. The home side shall offer three dates to the visiting side, to include at least one Sunday before the closing date of the round. The visiting side shall accept one of these dates, otherwise they sha 11 forfeit the match. 6. Day matches shall start at 2.30 p.m ., except in April and August, when the start shall be 2 p.m. A match shall consist of 45 overs per side, with the side scoring the most runs deemed the winner. 7. If the start is delayed , the Captains shall agree to play a redu ced number of overs as detailed . No match shall start after three hours from the original start time. Mins. Delay Total Overs Max. In games unfinished owing to the weather, the winner shall be the side which has the faster scoring rate in runs per over throughout their innings, provided that at least 25 overs have been bowled at the side batting second. If the scoring rate is the same, the side losing the least wickets in the firs t 25 overs of each innings shall be the winner. 9. Evening matches shall consist of 20 6-ball overs per team with a ma ximum of four overs per bowler . Both sides must receive 20 overs for the match to have a result. 10. In a day or evening match where the team scores are level after both sides have received thei r full allotted overs, the winne r shall be the side that lost fewer wickets. If this is the sa me, then the winne r shall be the side with the highest run rate per over at the half-way point of the innings (subject to the next full over, e.g. 23 overs in a 45 over match ). If this is the same then a replay sha 11 take place on the "ground of the visiting side". 11 . In all rounds, ex cluding the final, matches shall be played on the ground of the first drawn team, or, if not available, on another ground acceptable to both teams.
