HARCROS LINCOLNSHIRE LEAGUE K.O. COMPETITION FOR THE GEORGE MARSHALL TROPHY RULES 1. All Harcros Lincolnshire County Cricket League Clubs are automatically entered. 2. The Laws of Cricket shall apply, except where stated otherwise. 3. Each player muse be a bona-fide member of chat club. No player shall play for two competing clubs in this competition in the same season. 4. If there are more than 32 competing clubs, chena preliminary round draw will be made from the teams from Division 1, 2 and 3. 5. The home side shall offer three dates co the visiting side, co include at lease one Sunday before the closing dace of the round. The visiting side shall accept one of these dates, otherwise they shall forfeit the match. 6. Day matches shall scare at 2.30 p.m., except in April and August, when the startshall be 2 p.m. A match shall consist of 45 overs per side, with the side scoring the most runs deemed the winner. 7. If the scare is delayed the Captains shall agree to play a reduced number of overs as detailed. No match shall start after three hours from the original start time. M ins. Delay Tora! In games unfinished owing co the weather, the winner shall be the side which has the faster scoring race in runs per over throughout their innings, provided chat at lease 25 overs have been bowled at the side batting second. Ifthe scoring is the same, the side losing the lease wickets in the first 25 overs of each innings shall be the winner. 9. Evening matches shall consist of 20 6-ball overs per team with a maximum of four overs per bowler. Boch sides must receive 20 overs for the match to have a result. 10. In a day or evening match where the team scores are level after both sides have received theirfull allotted overs, the winner shall be the side chat lose fewer wickets. If this is the same, then the winner shall be the side with the highest run rate per over at the half-way point of the innings (subject co the next full over, e.g. 23 overs in a 45 over match). If this is the same then a replay shall cake place on the "ground of the visiting side". 11. In all rounds, excluding the final, matches shall be played on the ground of the first drawn team, or, if not available, on another ground acceptable co both teams. Games postponed or where no decision is possiole, shall be played as soon as possible on the same ground (or another ground acceptable co both teams) in order co fie in with the closing date for chat round. 12. If a match cannot be arranged or re-arranged by che due dace of the round, it shall be referred to the League Fixrure Secretary. The round dace may be extended, as decided by the Management Committee, or, if necessary, decided by a coss of a coin. 13. If a bowler is incapacitated during an over, chat over shall be completed by any player other than he who bowled the previous over. In the event of a part over being bowled, chat over shall be deemed co be a full over relating co chat bowler's maximum allowance. 14. The draw and closing date for the rounds co be made as soon after the A.G.M. as possible. 18
