4. PLAYERS 4. 1 Registration A player shall be considered registered with the club for which he plays his firs Lincolnshire League or George Marshall Cup match. 4.2 Transfer of Players No League club, either through its officers, or any person interested in the club, shal approach during the current playing season any player of any other League dub for th purpose of securing his services at any time without first giving seven days notice o their intention to negotiate. This notice must be given in writing to the Secretary of th player's current club. No player shall negotiate with any other League club unless h has fulfiled all his financial obligations to his current club. The players new club shall " rite to the League Secretary, with a copy to the current club, requesting the transfer The letter shall include the signature of the player and an official of the new club.Th current club must contact the League Secretary w within seven days if they have an objection. No player shall play for his new club until cleared by the League Secretary. fee, as per Rule 8, shall be paid by the player. 5. UMPIRES Neutral umpires shall officiate at all matches. 5.1 Reports on Umpires Both dubs captains shall mark both umpires in the space provided on the scoresheet. A fine, as per Rule 8, shall be imposed for noncompliance. 5.2 Payment of Umpires During the interval, clubs shall pay the current League fee for umpires, plus an expenses incurred. The League fee shall be decided at the A.G.M. The payment shal be shared by both clubs equally. If a match is cancelled and the umpires are not informed and turn up to officiate at the match, the umpires shall be paid half the curren fee plus any expenses incurred . In the event of the umpires turning up and no play being possible t because of the weather they shall again be paid half the current fee plus any expenses incurred. 6. RULES OF MATCH PLAY 6.1 Conduct of Matches Matches shall be conducted in accordance with the M.C.C.Laws of Cricket governing one day matches, as recommended by the League Cricket Conference, except for matters provided for in these Rules. 6.2 Match Start Times and Duration All matches shall be of 90 overs duration. Matches shall start at 2.30 p.m. in the months of May, June and July;at 2p.m.in the months of April and August; at 1.30p.m.in the month of September. 6.3 Length of Innings In an uninterrupted match the first team shall not bat more than half of the 90, 6-ball overs. The innings shall then be closed. If the side batting first is dismissed, or the captain declares, before the end of its allocated overs, then the side batting second shall have the remaining number of unused complete overs added to its allotted number. 6.4 Cancelled Games No match shall be cancelled due to weather conditions prior to 10 a.m. on the day of the match. If the home team deems it advisable to cancel the fixture, a nominated representative from the home club shall contact a nominated representative of the visiting club and seek his agreement to the game being cancelled. Unless mutual agreement to cancel is obtained , arrang ements for the fixture to take place will continue. Each club will nominate three representatives in a priority order, who are contactable on the telephone, and these names and telephone numbers will be printed in the handbook. No cancelled fixtures shall be re-arranged. The scoresheet should be 14
