HARCROS LINCOLNSHIRE LEAGUE K.O. COMPETITION FOR THE GEORGE MARSHALL TROPHY RULES 1. All Harcros Lincolnshire County Cricket League Clubs are automatically entered. 2. The Laws of Cricket shall apply. except where stated other wise. 3. Each player must be a bona-tide member of that club. No player shall play for tw competing clubs in this competition in the same season. 4. If there are more than 32 competing clubs, then a preliminary round draw will be mad from the teams from Division I, 2 and 3. 5. Day matches shall start at 2 .30 p.m., except in April and August, when the start shall be p.m. A match shall consist of 45 overs per side, with the side scoring the most runs deemed the winner. 6. If the start is delayed the Captains shall agree to play a reduced number of overs as detailed. No match shall start after three hours from the original start time. Mins. In games unfinished owing to the weather, the winner shall be the side which has the faster scoring rate in runs per over throughout their innings, provided that at least 25 overs have been bowled at the side batting second . If the scoring is the same, the side losing the least wickets in the first 25 overs of each innings shall be the winner. 8. In a day or evening match where the team scores are level after both sides have received their full allotted overs, the winner shall be the side that lost fewer wickets. If this is the same, then the winner shall be the side with the highest run rate per over at the half-way point of the innings (subject to the next full over, e.g. 23 overs in a 45 over match). If this is the same then a replay shall take place on the "ground of the visiting side". 9. In all rounds, excluding the final, matches shall be played on the ground of the first drawn team, or, if not available, on another ground acceptable to both teams. Games postponed or where no decision is possible, shall be played as soon as possible on the same ground (or another ground acceptable to both teams) in order to fit in with the closing date for that round. 10. If a match cannot be arranged or re-arranged by the due date of the round, it shall be referred to the League Fixture Secretary. The round date may be extended, as decided by the Management Committee, or, if necessary, decided by a toss of a coin. 11. If a bowler is incapacitated during an over, that over shall be completed by any player other than he who bowled the previous over. In the event of a part over being bowled, that over shall be deemed to be a full over relating to that bowler's maximum allowance. 12.
