In the event of the umpires turning up and no play being possible because of the weather they shall again be paid half the current fee plus any expenses incurred. RULES OF MATCH PLAY 6.1 Conduct of Matches 6.2 6.3 6.4 6.5 Matches shall be conducted in accordance with the M.C.C. Laws of Cricket governing one day matches, as recommended by the League Cricket Conference, except for matters provided for in these Rules. Match Start Times and Duration All League and Cup matches shall be of 90 overs duration (except Premier Division games which will be 100 overs). Matches will start at 2.00 pm in April and the first two weeks in August. At 1.30 pm from the third weekend of August and the month of September. All other matches will commence at 2.30 pm. Premier Division games will start at 1.30 pm in April and first two weeks of August 1.00 pm from third weekend in August and September; 2.00 any other time. Length of innings In an uninterrupted match the first team shall not bat more than half of the allotted overs. The innings shall then be closed. If the side batting first is dismissed, or the captain declares, before the end of its allocated overs, then the side batting second shall have the remaining number of unused complete overs added to its allotted number. Cancelled Games No match shall be cancelled due to weather conditions prior to 10 am on the day of the match. If the home team deems it advisable to cancel the fixture, a nominated representative from the home club shall contact a nominated representative of the visiting club and seek his agreement to the game being cancelled. Unless mutual agreement to cancel is obtained, arrangements for the fixture to take place will continue. Each club will nominate three representatives in a priority order, who are contactable on the telephone, and these names and telephone numbers will be printed in the handbook. No cancelled fixtures shall be re-arranged. The scoresheet should be sent to the Fixture Secretary stating "No Result". Start Delayed Due to Bad Weather or other valid cause The captains can mutually agree to cancel a fixture if they are both on the ground, but in any cause, no match shall start any later than three hours after the original start time. If the start of play is delayed for less than 30 minutes, then the match shall be played. A minimum of 20 overs shall be bowled in the last hour of play, subject to: (a) That where play does not recommence until a time during he last scheduled hour, the number of overs left shall be reduced by one for every complete or part of three minutes lost in that hour.
