LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY CRICKET LEAGUE RULES FOR CUP COMPETITION 1. The laws of cricket shall apply, except where stated otherwise. 2. All Lincolnshire County Cricket League clubs are automatically entered. 3. Each player must be a bona-fide member of that club. A player shall be deemed "cup tied" and not eligible for cup competition, if he has played league matches for any other club than that he is first registered. No player shall be eligible to play in the semi final and / or final of the George Marshall Cup, if he has played more than 6 matches in the leagues defined in rule 4.3. No player shall be eligible to play in the semi final and / or final of the Bob Welton Cup, if he has played more than 6 league matches in the leagues defined in rule 4.3 and / or 6 matches for his Clubs 1st team in the Lincolnshire County Cricket League 4. Matches shall start at 2.00p.m. 5. All games will be of 90 overs. The team with the highest number of runs will be the winners. If both sides finish with an equal number of runs, the game will be decided by: (a) The lowest number of wickets lost, if equal then (b) The run rate after 20 overs, if equal then (c) The run rate after 10 overs, if equal then (d) The side bowling the greatest number of maidens. 6. If the start is delayed, the captains shall agree to play a reduced number of overs as detailed in League rule 6.5. 7. In games unfinished, owing to the weather, the winning side shall be the side which has the faster scoring rate in runs per over throughout the innings. Provided that both teams have batted a minimum of 25 overs. If the scoring is same, the side losing the least wickets in the first 25 overs of each innings shall be the winner. If there is no result from a replayed game, then the tie shall be decided by a toss of a coin. B. Games postponed or where no result has been obtained shall be played as soon as possible with the agreement of the two clubs, so that the game is played before the date of the next scheduled cup round. The home team shall be responsible of informing the League and the local Umpires Association of the match date. 9. All games shall be played on the ground of the first drawn team, unless both teams have agreed to an alternative venue. Replayed games shall take place on the ground of the second drawn team, unless both teams have agreed to an alternative venue. All changes of venue shall gain the approval of the League. 10. The final will take place on a neutral venue, chosen by the League prior to the start of the season. If the final has to be replayed, the venue will be chosen by the League. 11. The maximum number of overs to be bowled by any one bowler is to be limited nine. Accordingly, if the game has been shortened due to weather, the limit for any one bowler shall be reduced as follows: OVERS PER SIDE MAX.
